We accept up to maximum of 25 guests for group bookings of the whole property. No additional or outside guests are allowed to enter the property unless it has been agreed to by management. 

For events like weddings, please contact us directly for permission / charge for additional non-overnight guests who will enter the property during the day time. 

For retreat leaders, please contact us directly to get access to a private 2-bedroom facilitator suite. 

Additional fees will be charged for each extra guest (adults / children / infants) at CAD$100 / night. 

The Green Nest lodge is a 6000 sqft complex comprised of 5 suites in the main lodge and a separate guest suite on around 2 acres of land. Our 5 suites are all private with their own patios, living rooms and bathrooms. We only accept direct booking of the whole property. 

Please note that our management team may be on-site in their own management suite (separate attachment with own entrance), but will remain as discreet as possible after check-in. 

The Green Nest Lodge is located on Sandy Lake in Buckhorn. We are in the Kawartha Lakes area, approx. 10 minutes from the center of the town of Buckhorn, 30 minutes from Peterborough and 1 hour and 45 minutes from Toronto.

We have total of 16 beds. 1 king bed private suite,  4 queen beds, 4 twins, and 7 singles. 
This sleeps 21 if couples share king & queen beds, and doubles are used as single occupancy. 25 if 2 ppl get cozy in the doubles!

Each suite has a full kitchen and bathroom, plus there's the main kitchen in the lodge, equipped with 2 fridges + 2 standing freezers.

We love our furry friends! You can bring a maximum of 2 pets (each less than 50 pounds) at a pet fee of $80 and they are only allowed in the cabin next to the main lodge. The cabin has a fenced outdoor area for the pets to enjoy the outdoor space too!

Pets are allowed outdoors on our property as well, and yet, because of the size of our main lodge and the thorough cleaning process involved after each check-out, pets are not allowed in the main lodge. 

Any signs of pets in our main lodge will result in an additional CAD$500 cleaning fee. 

Yes, all of our suites, and areas in the main lodge and cabin have high speed internet for Netflix, downloading files and online work. 

The cabin is only few steps away from the main entrance of the main lodge. 

Yes, we can provide an array of wellness-related activities at the Green Nest Lodge: yoga, soul healing, meditation, SUP Yoga, Bodywork sessions as well as on-site massages. Please send us an email for more info!

Our rate only includes the cost of the venue. In addition to our main kitchen (with 2 fridges and freezer, each suite (except the private king suite) has a full kitchen (plates, utensils, pots/pans, are provided) and a fridge, water boiler and coffee machine.
 
Foodland (grocery store) in the nearest town of Buckhorn, LCBO and convenience store, is 10-15 minute drive away. Buckhorn also has a pizzeria, a pub, café, bakery and few restaurants.

We also work closely with catering companies and private chefs around the area, and can help arrange different catering experiences -- from buffet style to a farm-to-table private chef experience, cocktail hour, wine tasting, etc. Please send us an email to inquire more!

We have an absolute no smoking policy at our property. You can smoke outside in the parking lot. If a guest is found to be smoking within our property, we will have to take severe action.

We provide hotel quality bed sheets, pillows, towels and beach towels, as well as toiletries, shampoo and soap. We also have basic cooking essentials in our main kitchen, like salt, pepper, some seasonings and coffee. 

Foodland (grocery store) LCBO,  and general store  in the nearest town of Buckhorn, are  around a 10 minute drive away.

Please bring a pair of thick socks or indoor slippers to wear indoor. No outdoor shoes are allowed in the buildings.

Our check-in time is 4pm and check-out time is 10am. 

Please be respectful of the check in and out times. Our cleaning team will be at the property strictly at 10am to start the cleaning process of this huge property and we have limited time for turnover for the next group.

We cannot guarantee early check-in time and late check-out time. Please contact us for availability before your arrival and additional fee of late check-out of $200/hour will be applied unless agreed upon by our management team.  

Our main lodge has a central cooling and heating system. Each suite also has its own fireplace and fan.

Our cabin has its own individual air-conditioning unit and fireplace. 

Please only control the heating using the thermostats on the wall, and do not try to change the settings / knobs that are on the fireplace. 

We have our own dock and a private beach on Sandy Lake. 

We don't have a boat launch and there's no public boat launch on Sandy Lake.

We are on Sandy Lake, which is great for kids! It's one of the few lakes nearby that is shallow, with white sandy bottom and spring-fed water. The water is turquoise in color on sunny days -- it's as if you are in the Caribbean!

Sandy Beach public beach (5 mins drive away) is crowded with small and big kids in the summer, so we built a small private beach on the property and a dock this past summer for our little kids & puppies to enjoy some serenity! There is a sandbar in the lake not far away from our beach / dock.

We also built a new wooden deck over the water with outdoor dining tables so you can oversee your kids playing in the water!

Pool noodles, canoes and SUP for (big) kids and adults are also provided!

Our property has a firepit overlooking the lake specifically for bonfire, s'mores and ceremony. Please only use the firepit for a bonfire.

Please respect the local law, as fire is not allowed within certain times during the year.

Our tap water is locally pulled from the spring-fed Sandy Lake that our property is on.

We have a chlorine filtration system and the water is tested regularly. However, some guests may find the taste of the water a bit too strong for their liking. 

You can get 4-Litre jugs of distilled / natural spring water at the Foodland in Buckhorn that is around a 10 minute drive away. We have a water cooler in the main dining room with hot water and cold water functions.

We also kindly ask you to be mindful of the usage of water, as the water we source is directly from Sandy Lake, the Lake of Spirits, which is believed to have healing properties (most guests find that their skin is much smoother after a few days of staying here)! 

We are only around a 10 minute drive away to the nearest town, Buckhorn -- with a coffee shop, bakery (try their almond biscuits!), a few restaurants, bar, Foodland, LCBO, a pizzeria (we recommend their special Caesar pizza!) and a general store.

A few other towns -- Bobcaygeon, Lakefield, Peterborough -- are about 25 minutes away.

Yes, there is a Keurig machine and also regular coffee brewers, French press and Moka coffee maker, as well as a milk frother, kettles for tea in the main kitchen. There are also kettles for tea in each suite. Please bring your own coffee beans/ capsules.
